This film was one of my first favorite stop-motion films, as they kind of terrified me when I was a child. Coraline was a huge example of a terrifying movie to me. But this film had such charm and line delivery, I was more entranced by the acting than the style of film. However, I can't deny the style sucked me in. Minus the stop-motion, it held the true charm of Wes Anderson, with the medium close-ups, the symmetry, the thousand-mile stare you often catch the characters doung.
